INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS Depending on the type of authority you have applied for, the FMCSA will have specific insurance requirements that MUST be filed before they will complete your application process. The FMCSA will notify you directly of these requirements by mail, or you can view the listed requirements for your authority application at: http://li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov. You will need to notify your insurance company and ask them to file the necessary "Proof of Insurance" forms directly to the FMCSA.
